Robotics Introductory Course: Pride, Experimentation, and Creativity Among 5ᵉ Students

Summary

On December 5, 2025, UPENDO Labs, in partnership with LNU Frechen, organized a robotics introductory course for four 5ᵉ students: working in pairs, they assembled an mBot and programmed it using mBlock, discovering step by step how instructions are transformed into actual movements. The workshop, based on learning through experimentation, generated a great deal of enthusiasm—pride, new ideas, and a desire to continue—and confirmed the impact of hands-on activities; new workshops and a robotics club are in the works to build on this momentum.

Pedagogical & Technical Objectives

To enable 5ᵉ students to learn the basics of robotics by building and programming an mBot in pairs, while fostering their curiosity, teamwork, independence, and confidence in using technology.
