Get an up-close look at robotics

On December 5, 2025, we had the pleasure of introducing four 5th-grade students (equivalent to the start of middle school) to the exciting world of robotics during a trial class.
This activity was organized in collaboration with LNU and the Ernst-Mach-Gymnasium.

Learning by Doing

The goal of this day was to let the children discover robotics and programming in a fun way, to spark their curiosity, and to show them that technology can be accessible, creative, and fun all at once.

Throughout the workshop, the students worked in pairs from start to finish. Together, they assembled an mBot robot and then programmed it using the mBlock software. Step by step, they learned how a sequence of instructions can bring a robot to life and make it move according to their own ideas.

Contagious enthusiasm

The children’s enthusiasm was palpable. Curious and deeply engaged, they followed each step carefully.
When their robots started working, pride and joy were visible on their faces. Some were so enthusiastic that they would have loved to take their robots home to keep experimenting.

What’s next?

This trial class once again demonstrated the positive impact of hands-on robotics activities on young learners. Building on this successful experience, we are currently preparing several workshops and Robotik-AG sessions.
